Okay! So the bootcamp has ruffled my feathers a bit. They're asking me to enter my credit card info into Heroku which is no big deal as long as I stay on the "free plan". So apparently Heroku requires this for the email features so it can validate the account thus keeping bots from spamming email or something like that (I googled it) and there's not really a way around it.

It's on the curriculum for setting up email notifications in Rails. I'm going to probably swing by the dollar store and pick up a check card so I don't have to put my actual card on the account just to bypass it because I don't feel too cozy about using my debit card for homework.

Don't come off the coffee too quickly

Sooooo I had an unexplained headache that was keeping me from getting work done. I imagine that I would've gotten a few more checkpoints (currently working on Ruby/Rails part) done had I not had this set back. It kept recurring once every other night and I couldn't quite pin point why. So I pondered carefully and after a while of recalling habits to myself: "Wait is coffee withdrawal an actual thing? That can't be it."

I googled Coffee Withdrawal and "headache" showed up in the completion before I could finish my search. Apparently it's the caffeine. According to my research the science behind it is that lack of caffeine causes your blood vessels around the brain to widen back up after being narrowed. This is where the headache comes from accompanied with lack of energy and focus. So if you want to stay productive don't come off of the coffee to quickly wean yourself off.

Martin Shkreli coding and AutoHunt

I watched Martin Shkreli (the 15 dollar a pill) guy coding with React today. I myself am currently learning the back-end with Ruby/Rails but it was nice to randomly happen upon him coding. I'm not his biggest fan but I don't think he deserves 100 percent of the flak that he gets. Either way it seems that a lot of people are getting into software

I'm not getting through the coder camp as fast as I would like to but I'm a 'thorough' person I don't like the idea of skimming over something that I don't quite understand and hoping I remember it later. I'm currently working on a mock-up automobile finder. Perhaps its a little overly ambitious but I found that Edmunds has an API with dealer info and I figured I would perhaps be able pull info from it in some way shape or form so I could display car finding data in more of a format that's more like Zillow with houses displayed on a Google Map as opposed to the thumbnail or list formats that AutoTrader and CarGurus uses. You can think of AutoHunt as a "Zillow" for cars.
